Who Won the 2020 Election? Trump’s New AI Chatbot
President Donald Trump unveiled the AI-powered America.gov website on Tuesday, hailing the government chatbot for researching public services as emblematic of what cutting-edge technology can do at a time when many Americans mistrust artificial intelligence.
“We do not surrender to fears about what technologies will do to us,” Trump said. “We decide that those technologies will do for us some very, very incredible things.”
The goal is for Americans to ultimately use the site to apply for a passport or sign up for benefits like Medicare instead of chasing such services across the federal digital landscape.
But the interface also answers a wide variety of other questions, and we at Decision Points were among those quickly realizing that the answers contradict the president on a range of topics, from the 2020 election to climate change to how the Iran war has affected diesel prices.
Note: The site only queries official government data. So our “Does AI pose a threat to humanity?” question got a polite demurral. And conspiracy theorists who distrust official data will probably be unmoved.
Who won the 2020 election?
“Joseph R. Biden Jr. won the 2020 U.S. presidential election.”
This won’t quiet Trump and supporters of his who claim – without proof – that Trump won but widespread fraud cheated him out of a second consecutive term.
Official investigations and certifications after the 2020 election did not find evidence of significant or widespread voter fraud that would have changed the presidential result.”
In any system as complex as American elections, there will always be some fraud and some errors, but America.gov clearly doesn’t think Trump’s claims of systemic fraud have held up.
Have wage increases kept up with price increases for American consumers since February 2026?
“BLS data since February 2026 show nominal pay still rising, but real, inflation-adjusted hourly earnings did not keep up in the months right after February.”
In other words, things are getting less affordable. If you’re wondering why Americans are sour about the economy, this increase in the cost of living is ground zero.
It’ll be worth revisiting all of these questions in the weeks ahead. Trump is not likely to tolerate his AI-driven showcase contradicting him for long.
